PRESS RELEASE

On June 12, 2026 at approximately 11:17 P.M. Darke County Deputies along with Ansonia Rescue, North Star Fire Department, and CareFlight were dispatched to the 7200 Block of North Star Ft Loramie Road reference a crash with injury.

Preliminary investigation revealed a Black 2003 Harley Davidson Motorcycle driven by, William Huntington (57) of Greenville Ohio, was traveling west on North Star Ft Loramie Road. Huntington struck a deer in the roadway and was ejected from his Motorcycle. Huntington was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Darke County Coronerโ€™s Office and Darke County Sheriffโ€™s Office Accident Reconstruction Team also assisted with this investigation.

This crash remains under investigation.
