⚠️ STORM UPDATE ⚠️

The City of Celina and surrounding areas have experienced significant storm damage. We are currently aware of numerous downed power lines, damage to major transmission lines, and at least one damaged transformer.

As a result, residents should anticipate extended power outages that may last several hours. Crews from the City of Celina Electric Department, along with personnel from other City departments, are actively working to clear roadways, repair infrastructure, restore power, and ensure public safety.

For your safety, please avoid unnecessary travel and stay clear of areas affected by downed power lines or storm debris. Traveling to view damage not only creates additional hazards but can also impede the work of emergency responders and utility crews.

We also ask for your patience regarding power restoration. While we understand the inconvenience of extended outages, repeated calls regarding power restoration can overwhelm dispatch operations and interfere with our ability to respond to emergencies.

We appreciate your cooperation, patience, and understanding as crews work diligently to restore services as quickly and safely as possible.

Stay safe,

Chief Tom Wale
