On June 5, 2026, at approximately 8:01 p.m., Darke County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a reported injury crash in the 1600 block of State Route 49. Pittsburg Fire, Greenville Township Rescue, and Arcanum Rescue also responded to the scene.

The preliminary investigation indicates that a tan Jeep Liberty, driven by Dana Woodson, 62, of Farmersville, entered the roadway to travel northbound and pulled into the path of a black Harley-Davidson motorcycle operated by Ian Petroski, 23, of Dayton.

Woodson was treated at the scene and released. Petroski was transported by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital, where he remains in serious condition.

The crash remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff Accident Reconstruction Team.
