(4-30-26) Seth Marbaugh (34) of Ohio City, will be sentenced in June after pleading guilty to a third-degree felony charge of sexual battery.

Marbaugh appeared in Van Wert County Common Pleas Court this week for a change of plea hearing.

Marbaugh was indicted by a Van Wert County grand jury in August 2025 on four counts of rape, each felonies of the first degree, and three counts each of sexual battery and unlawful sexual contact with a minor, all third-degree felonies.

The indictment alleged that Marbaugh, on May 1, 2023, through Oct. 31, 2024, engaged in sexual conduct with a 14-year-old female and compelled her to submit through force or the threat of force.

Judge Martin Burchfield set sentencing for June 17.
