(11-18-24) On Saturday, November 16, 2024, the Darke County Sheriffโ€™s Office responded to the Dollar General in Ansonia regarding a suspected robbery.

Initial investigation revealed an unknown male walked into Ansoniaโ€™s Dollar General showing a handgun to the cashier. The male demanded that the cashier open the cash register and remove the money from the drawer. The suspect fled on foot to the west and was last seen entering the trailer park next to the store.

The suspect was described as a 5โ€™4โ€ black male wearing a dark hooded zip-up jacket, blue jeans, and black tennis shoes with white on them.
