(11-11-24) we In 2004, the Coldwater, Celina, and St. Henry Kiwanis Clubs, along with other caring individuals, helped to establish the Mercer County Aktion Club.

The twentieth anniversary of the club, now sponsored by Celina and Coldwater Kiwanis, was celebrated on Saturday, October 26 at the Coldwater Eagles.
Aktion Club is a service club that is specifically for adults with disabilities. The Mercer County club is one of the oldest in Ohio. After a delicious meal, invited guests and members enjoyed a program provided by club officers, advisors and Ohio Aktion Club Administrator, Dick Brulotte.
Deceased members were recognized in a special program and new officers were installed for the 2024-2025 year.
Aktion Club is proud of the work they do for the community, by awarding college scholarships, donating books to the Backpack Program at the C.A.L.L. Food Pantry, donating water to the surgical waiting room at Mercer Health, and other events throughout the year.
They also enjoy social outings, have speakers or crafts, and enjoy spending time together at their monthly meetings, which take place on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 at Briarwood.
If you or a loved one would enjoy being part of this dynamic group, you are welcome to come to a meeting.
