(10-10-24) At the last September meeting Kevin Draiss, Director of Our Home Family Resource Center, reviewed information about the upcoming Winter Warmth Day, which the club co-sponsors. Since then members have been busy handing out fliers and putting boxes around town to collect winter apparel for the event. To find a donation box, text COATS to 55498. Karen Perts, Director of Grant Procurement, secured a $2,000 Walmart grant, which the club will use to buy additional coats in children’s sizes. Fewer of those are donated.

Club members will be filling boxes for Operation Christmas Child. A beautiful quilted throw made by Sue Reed will be raffled off in the near future. Committee Chair Linda Goodwin is planning the club’s annual OSU/Michigan “Guess the Score” 50/50 drawing. Early preparations are being made for the Reindog Pancake Breakfast and Parade on November 30.
