(2-13-23) On the afternoon of February 10, 2023, the Darke County Sheriff’s Office took a report of counterfeit money being passed at a local business. The counterfeit money was actually passed on the evening of February 9, 2023.
On February 10, 2023, a Darke County bank discovered the money that the business deposited was counterfeit and notified the local business. The United States Secret Service was notified of the counterfeit transaction.
