(2-2-23) Cory A. Gundrum Sr. (45) Portland man was sentenced to eight years in prison this week for sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl that took place in 2016.

In a plea deal in the case Gundrum Sr. pleaded guilty to sexual misconduct with a minor, a Level 4 felony with a maximum of a 12-year sentence.

Jay Circuit Court Judge Brian Hutchison gave Gundrum Sr. the maximum allowed sentence of 8 years under the terms of the plea agreement which also called for a dismissal of three counts…obstruction of justice and two counts of child solicitation…in another case against him.

In the other case he allegedly tried to arrange sex with two girls, between the ages of 12 and 14, but he was actually communicating online with members of the Predator Catchers Muncie.
