Sheriff Grey Files Motion To Dismiss Chilcoat Lawsuit On Arrest For The Capitol Incident On January 6th By The FBI

(2-1-23) Shawndale Chilcoat of Celina was charged along with her husband Donald in the January 6th, 2021 incident at the US Capitol and has filed a $25 million dollar lawsuit against Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey

In the 190 page document filed in US District Court, Chilcoat alleges that Sheriff Grey had the power to stop her arrest by the FBI and that he allowed them to search her home this past August.

A motion was made by Sheriff Grey’s representatives on January 18th in US District Court Northern District of Ohio-Western Division to dismiss the case.

The Chilcoats were both arrested this past August and charged with one felony and five misdemeanors charges from January 6th and are scheduled to appear in Federal Court soon for a hearing related to representing themselves in the court case.
