(11-28-23) Lochtefeld said-
“I believe we need to continue maintaining and improving our city for future generations, as well as bringing new and innovative ideas to keep our city looking forward. Celina is an amazing place to live and work. Our community has so much to be proud of and I want to help build on that success. I hope to be able to continue serving the people of Celina.”
Lochtefeld is a Celina High School and Tri-Star graduate. He attended the University of Northwestern Ohio, receiving degrees in Computer Networking and Business Administration. In addition to working at the Mercer County District Library as the Information Technology Specialist, he is also a local entrepreneur as the owner of Lochte Technology Ltd, a web design business.
As a lifelong Mercer County resident, Lochtefeld is active in the community, serves on the Our Home Family Resource Center board, and is a 4-H advisor with Barnyard Center 4-H Club. During his first term in office, he encouraged more young people to get involved with local government. With his technology background, Lochtefeld was also instrumental in ensuring council meetings continued virtually during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Lochtefeld said. Quoting the 4-H motto-
“I’ve enjoyed my time this far on council. It is great working with community members and fellow council members on making the city better. ‘To Make the Best Better’ is what I believe we should strive to do.”
