Celina, OH (11-18-22) — The Mercer County Health District (MCHD) has hired Celina area resident Cassidy Freeman as the health department’s new Emergency Response Coordinator. Cassidy comes to MCHD from the Darke County Health District, where she worked for approximately 18 months as an environmental health specialist-in-training. She also has previous experience working for the Mercer County Emergency Management Agency. Cassidy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from The Ohio State University in 2020, majoring in geography with an emphasis on environment and society and minoring in atmospheric science. In her new position, Cassidy will be responsible for public health emergency preparedness and will lead the local Medical Reserve Corps chapter.
