Celina, Ohio (5-25-22) – Wabash Mutual Telephone Company recently awarded six $500 scholarships to local high school students furthering their education after graduation. The students are children of the cooperative’s members and were selected as recipients based on their academics, plans for higher education, and community activities.

Wabash began the scholarship program in 2005 as a way to invest in the future of the communities and give back to its members.

This year, the recipients include: Haley Alig of Coldwater, daughter of Charles and Lisa Alig; Trent Berkenstock of Coldwater, son of Tim and Tara Berkenstock; Nathan Boley of Celina, son of Larry and Amy Boley; Brenden Faller of Celina, son of Samuel and Pamela Faller; Marissa Gaerke of Fort Recovery, daughter of Tim and Julie Gaerke; and Erica Post of Coldwater, daughter of Alan and Rose Post.

Wabash commends the extraordinary talent of each applicant of this year’s scholarship, and wishes each of them every success in their educational pursuits.
