(5-23-22) The Coldwater Board of Education will meet Tuesday, May 24th to hire Sycamore High School Principal Douglas Mader as the new Superintendent.  The BOE will look to approve a three-year contract, effective August 1, 2022 through July 31, 2025.

Mader is a graduate of Coldwater, he also taught math at Celina High during his teaching career..

Mader is a veteran of the United States Air Force and has a background in the hotel business along with a consulting background in hotels and customer service. In addition, he has worked as a consultant in value analysis engineering. Mader has an undergraduate degree from Thomas More College a master’s degree from the University of Dayton. He is in the final stages of obtaining his doctoral degree from the University of Kentucky. Mader currently resides in Lebanon, Ohio and is the father of three children Caleb, Sydney and Trent.

Mader will be replacing Jason Wood who announced in March he would become the new Superintendent in Brookville.
