(3-23-22) The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office announces the hiring of Dispatcher Elizabeth (Liz) Johnson.

Dispatcher Johnson started working as a 911 dispatcher back in January. Liz recently moved to Ohio from Texas with her husband and four daughters, where she previously worked as a 911 dispatcher.
Johnson graduated high school at the age of just 16; and she went to Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. as a parent representative for the National Federation of the Blind to advocate for the blind. While there, she spoke to members of congress, as a parent of a blind child, about important issues regarding rights and equal accessibility for the blind.
