(3-26-21) The Medical, Educational and Development Foundation of Mercer Health received a $12,500 grant from the Mercer County Civic Foundation to purchase ten vital sign monitors and a bariatric powered exam table to better serve Mercer Health Medical Group patients.

Patient safety is our top priority at Mercer Health and we are always evolving to enhance patient safety and improve the overall patient experience. The addition of a bariatric powered exam table provides staff the ability to provide even safer and more efficient care. The exam table has a wider width and higher weight capacity than a standard exam table and is able is able to be raised and lowered to accommodate all patients.

Additionally, vital sign monitors improve efficiency and accuracy in busy office settings, allowing even less room for human error when evaluating patients.

Deb Hemmelgarn, director of the MED Foundation
