(3-18-21) Two local men have been sentenced in Mercer County Common Pleas Court.

Yokkup and Meyer

Lawrence Meyer (57) of Celina, who had agreed to a plea deal in February, has been sentenced to five years of probation, 90 days of house arrest and has had his driver’s license revoked for life on a charge of aggravated vehicular homicide. Meyer was charged after he struck and killed James Riethman (58) of Rockford in August of last year. Meyer was previously convicted of vehicular homicide in 2000. Meyer faces prison time for 18 months if he violates the terms of his probation.
