Clay Heitkamp donates blood

September 8, 2020, Celina, OH — Celina Insurance Group recently hosted a blood drive at its home office. Twenty-five employees donated blood making a significant impact on the lives of others. The Red Cross followed strict safety protocols during the event.

“We want to thank our employees who continue to support our Red Cross events, even during a global pandemic,” said Christine Purdy, Director of Human Resources. “We are pleased our employees donated at a time when there could be potential shortages due to the coronavirus.”

To donate blood, a blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required. Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger must also meet certain height and weight requirements.
