(8-20-20) The Celina Police and the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office continue their battles on the local drug front. Six arrests were made on drug related charges yesterday.
The Celina Police Department executed a search warrant at 6:30 AM on August 20, 2020 as a result of an overnight investigation into suspected drug activity at 213 Morton St., Celina. The residence has been known to officers as a location for drug activity in the recent past. During their regular patrol duties they observed increased traffic at the residence. They were able to develop probable cause to apply for a search warrant.
Mercer County Prosecutor Matthew K. Fox was consulted and he drafted a warrant which was reviewed, approved and signed by Municipal Court Judge Kathryn W. Speelman. Celina Police along with deputies from the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office kept security until the warrant was signed and officers returned to execute it.
As a result of the search warrant items seized included suspected methamphetamine, heroin, drug paraphernalia and a firearm. Five person were arrested and state complaints were signed against all of them for various felonies. They are currently held at the Mercer County Adult Detention Facility.
Alexandria Tackitt (23) charged with a 5th degree felony county of possession of methamphetamine
Garrett Devall (24) are charged with a 5th degree felony county of possession of methamphetamine.
David Hawkins (50) faces drug paraphernalia charges.
Andrea Marrow (41) faces charges of possession of drugs and Illegal Use or Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Eric Bubp (41) is charged with a Marijuana Drug Paraphernalia violation
Alanna Rose Edens (25 )is charged with Possessing Drug Abuse Instruments.
All of the the above suspects are currently being held in the Mercer County Detention Facility pending a court appearance.
