(8-14-20) A Go Fund Me page set up for the family of 5 year old Cannon Hinnant from Wilson, North Carolina, who was murdered on Sunday, has already raised over $500,000.

Cannon was shot by his father’s neighbor Darius Sessoms (25), who is in jail on no bond, facing a first-degree murder charge.
Charlene Walburn told ABC 7 –
“Our neighbor saw it. She said the young man just walked up to the little boy who was sitting on his bike, which he does every day. I just don’t understand why he did it. How can you walk up to a little boy, point blank, and put a gun to his head and just shoot him? How could anyone do that?”
Cannon’s funeral was held yesterday and a candlelight vigil tonight, he was suppose to start kindergarten this week.
Go Fund Me Page – Justice for Cannon
On Sunday, August 9th, this precious angel was playing outside with his siblings when he was murdered. He was merely doing what he would do any other day and that’s playing with his sisters, riding his bike, doing what kids do and all of the innocence that comes with being a child. This family has faced unimaginable pain because of this senseless act of violence. We are asking for your donations to assist with anything that may be needed for expenses related to his services. We offer our sincerest appreciation in this extremely difficult time. #justice for Cannon

Many, many thanks to Terrence K. Williams here, who beautifully expresses the feelings of so many. Out of respect for Cannon and for America we need to start asking questions about why the media is blatantly stoking racial animosity in this country, exaggerating crimes against black victims but ignoring crimes against white victims. Cannon’s horrific story is shocking, but it has also been shocking to see the media just ignore it as it doesn’t fit the narrative they WANT right now! Why! Why is the media invested in stoking the racial story that black people are being attacked left and right but an obvious hate crime against a BABY and other attacks against whites are ignored?? What’s going on! The media should not be manipulating truth, but now we see they are. This is very bad, America, we can’t have this.
God rest the soul of this baby, he’s in heaven, surely, and may He comfort his family and community.

This is a great example of the justice system working for some. I’m glad Cannon’s killer is in jail on no bond, facing a first-degree murder charge. That was quick – (August 9)! Let’s have the same for all murders, including the murders of Breonna Taylor(March 13) and George Floyd (May 25)!
