(6-9-20) UPDATED – Celina City Council passed the ordinance declaring a state of emergency in Celina due to the COVID-19 pandemic and empowering the Safety Service Director with additional specific powers during the state of emergency.
(6-8-20) Just a month ago the Celina City Council pulled an ordinance to give Celina Saftety Service Director Tom Hitchcock certain powers during the COVID 19 crisis, An outcry from local residents concerned with the ordinance was the main reason for the council to reconsider the situation. Tonight they will try again to pass an ordinance, new ordinance was not sent with tonight’s agenda to the Outlook.
