Celina, Ohio (5-20-20) – Wabash Mutual Telephone Company recently awarded six $500 scholarships to local high school students furthering their education after graduation. The students are children of the cooperative’s members and were selected as recipients based on their academics, plans for higher education, and community activities.
Wabash began the scholarship program in 2005 as a way to invest in the future of the communities and give back to its members.
This year, the recipients include: Braydon Adams of Celina, son of Patrick and Zenia Adams; Jay Brown of Fort Recovery, son of John and the late Tina Brown; Collin Harris of Celina, son of Steve and Jill Harris; Lauren Higgins of Celina, daughter of John and Kathryn Higgins;
Alicia Knapke of Coldwater, daughter of Marty and Anne Knapke; and Mitchell Pugh of Fort Recovery, son of Jeff and Ginny Knapke.
