CELINA-(5-12-20) As previously announced, Mercer County Health District (MCHD) has been monitoring an ongoing situation at Cooper Farms. At this time, 34 confirmed COVID-19 cases are employed at the St. Henry Processing Plant. There are 19 cases pending COVID-19 results.

The MCHD also reports an employee at the Celina Manor and an employee at the Gardens – St. Henry have both been confirmed to be ill with COVID-19. The MCHD has been in regular communication with all long term care facilities in the county and will continue to monitor the situation. The Ohio Department of Health releases information on long-term care facilities every Wednesday. As of May 12, 2020, the  MCHD reports 86 confirmed cases, 18 recovered cases, 122 pending cases, 341 negative cases, 1 hospitalization, and 1 death of COVID-19.

Of the Mercer County 86 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 43 confirmed cases (50%) are White Non-Hispanic, 39 confirmed cases (45%), are Pacific Islanders, and 4 confirmed cases (5%) are Hispanic. The age range is 19-90 years of age. 51 females and 35 males are confirmed cases. COVID-19 is community spread, with confirmed cases in the following cities/villages: Celina (36), Coldwater (26), Fort Recovery (1), Maria Stein (5), Mendon (3), Rockford (1), and St. Henry (14).
