(2-20-20) Wednesday Tyler Weitz (33) of Rockford was arrested on a 1st degree misdemeanor charge of possession of drug abuse instruments. Weitz was in possession of multiple syringes within his reach and one near where he was seated when police arrived at his home on State Route 49.
Family members notified the authorities to Weitz’s erratic behavior and advised Weitz had just been released from prison. A first responder said that Weitz tried to spit on and hit her.
Weitz is being held in the Mercer County Adult Detention Facility on $50,000 cash bond.
