CELINA, OH – (8-23-19) Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey reports that his office has completed an extradition from Lee County, Florida. On August 21, 2019, two deputies from the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office flew from Dayton International Airport to Southwest Regional Airport in Fort Myers, Florida. On the morning of August 22, 2019, the deputies took custody of Skyler D. Leugers (28), from the Lee County Florida Sheriff’s Office. Leguers was transported back to the Mercer County Jail and booked in shortly after 7:30pm.
Leugers was extradited on a felony warrant for a Probation Violation, after he was convicted of Attempted Felonious Assault, a felony of the third degree. Leugers absconded from the State and did not notify his probation officer of where he was living. After being brought back to the Jail, he was served with an arrest warrant from the Celina Police Department for Failure to Appear for traffic offenses. He was also served a warrant from the Coldwater Mayor’s Court for similar charges.
He is awaiting a Court date from the Mercer County Common Pleas Court.
