Surprise! Much of the region is under the threat of heavy rainfall later today. Flash flood guidance is low at 1.5"-2", which is possible with any slow-moving thunderstorm. Stay alert for any warnings and be prepared to take action if heavy rainfall leads to flooding. pic.twitter.com/wg0YshDHGV

(6-19-19) From the St. Marys Police Department –
In preparation for the potential of a flood event today and Thursday, the City of St. Marys is taking several proactive steps. Sand bags will be delivered to the water department at 503 South Wayne Street later today. Residents can pick up sand bags as needed. Crews also will be staging barricades at roads that have the potential to flood so that the barricades may be put in place in a timely manner when needed. Crews also will be checking catch basins to make sure there are no clogs.
