(5-3-19) The Celina Kiwanis hosted Sara Evers, owner of Sano Nutrition and Wellness, at their April 24 meeting. Evers’ store sells products ranging from health food, vitamins, and supplements to goat’s milk soap, ear candles, and essential oils. She also offers healthy cooking classes, therapeutic massage, reflexology, and ionic foot detox. Two days a week the store sells Bento box lunches.
On Fridays big salads are available for purchase. Fruit smoothies can be purchased everyday. As the main part of her presentation, Evers described the difference between dieting and healthy eating. During diets individuals focus on bad habits and the scale, see food as the enemy, and adopt temporary behavior till they reach the finish line. With healthy eating, individuals focus on daily choices and good habits, see food as fuel, and adopt positive behaviors they can use throughout a lifelong journey.
Sano Nutrition and Wellness is located at 103 S. Main St. The store is open from 10—5 Monday through Wednesday and Friday, 10—1 on Thursday, and 9—1 on Saturday. Call 567 890-5432 for more information.
