(10-21-18) The Ohio State Auditor race is becoming quite heated between State Rep Keith Faber (R-Celina) and Democratic opponent, Zack Space (D-Dover), one of the two will replace outgoing Audior Dave Yost and be the next man to oversee the State’s finances in the upcoming November election.

The race has taken on a ‘dark side‘.

Earlier in the campaign Faber released details of Space allowing his law license to be suspended (due to missing the renewal notice). Space countered and shared information when he found evidence of late tax filings and penalties in Faber’s record over the past several years.  The information led to an investigation and an AP story that was released on October 12th.

In a released statement, Space’s campaign spokesman, Nathan Cotton:

“Keith Faber’s chronic failure to pay his taxes on time completely disqualifies him from serving as Auditor of State, Ohio’s top taxpayer watchdog. Faber spent the last 17 years in the General Assembly using taxpayer money to advance his political career, while at the same time incurring dozens of penalties for failing to pay his own taxes on time.”

Voters will decide who they trust the most and who they want to be the next State Auditor.
