(7-26-18) Numerous sources are reporting that I-75 (both sides) have been shut down due to a fatal crash just north of Sidney this afternoon.



According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol the incident took place just north of St. Marys Road involving three passenger cars, two semi-trucks and at least one pick-up truck. One of the semis failed to slow down for traffic and struck the rear of the other vehicles. they all caught fire as a result of the collision and ended up in the median. Debra Hurst (60) of Dayton died in the crash. One of the semis was hauling soybeans which spilled onto the roadway.

All lanes of I-75 North and South have been re-opened and traffic is back to normal.
