Tristan Ascura (19) Lima, a former Elida student, was arrested early yesterday morning by Allen County Sheriff’s Office deputies. The investigation into Ascura started after four Elida High School students told the sheriff’s office late Wednesday night that Ascura told them to not to go to school on September 1st because he was going to “shoot it up”.
Ascura was taken into custody after authorities found an AR-15 rifle and 500 rounds of .223 caliber ammunition at his residence .
Ascura is currently being held at the Allen County Jail charged with inducing panic, a second-degree felony.
