(5-15-18)  The Celina Middle School Relay for Life will be held tomorrow (Wednesday).  According to the CMS Facebook page they have only reached $6,000 of their $10,000 goal. The students are asking the community to consider making donations.

From Jackie Mertz, one of the teachers in charge of the relay at CMS:

The public is more than welcome to come watch the Celina Middle School Survivor walk on Wed. at 7:45 a.m. It is an absolutely beautiful tribute to our cancer survivors. The stands and inside of the High School track will be filled with students; however, you are so welcome to watch the opening ceremony around the outside of the fence. Mrs. Esselstein will be speaking, and it will no doubt be a special moment. Many have asked, so please feel free to see what good the young people in our community have done in the fight to find a cure for this horrible disease. The students have earned $6000 and are working tirelessly to get to our $10,000 goal!

Donations are still being accepted in the CMS office.
