16 year old Kennedy Schreiber of St Marys girl was killed in a 2 vehicle accident Monday afternoon. Schreiber was northbound on Townline-Kossuth Road just before 3 pm when she failed to stop at the stop sign located at US 33. A car driven by 35 year old Brian Grube of Piqua struck Schreiber’s vehicle. Schreiber was pronounced dead at the scene by the Auglaize County Coroner’s office. Grube also sustained serious injuries.
Her 2 passengers, both from St. Marys, Carson Liming (17) and Joseph Zartman (17) sustained serious injuries.
All 3 were transported by local first responders to Lima hospitals for treatment.
Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office, St. Mary’s Police Department, St. Mary’s Fire Department, Buckland Fire Department, Auglaize County Emergency Management, Ohio Department of Transportation and the Auglaize County Coroner’s Office assisted the Ohio State Patrol at the scene of the accident.

The following statement was released from the St Marys School District Monday night:
St. Marys City Schools will be on a 2 hour delay tomorrow. Due to the delay, state testing is postponed. Staff are to report at 7:05am. There was an unfortunate tragic car accident today. We encourage students to attend school tomorrow. There will be support personnel on hand to help us through the the day. The school wants to pass on condolences to the family and those affected.

(4-16-18) According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, at around 3pm, at least one person has died in a crash near the intersection of U.S. 33 and Townline Kossuth Road near St. Marys and Moulton.
The westbound lanes of U.S. 33 are closed where the accident occurred.
State Troopers say at this time its unclear how many vehicles were involved in crash.
