$2,425,000 is the price of the business that Jerry “J” Chapman and Matt Childers are transacting in Lima, Ohio, involving the transfer of five stations. Though things are slightly tangled in the deal from the August 28 NOW. For one thing, Childers already owns 20% of Woof Boom Management, parent of the Woof Boom Radio that’s buying the quintet. But in the end, five more stations will be under the Woof Boom name –

  • Sports “93.1 the Fan” WWSR Lima
  • Classic hits “Fun 107.1” WDOH Delphos
  • “Sports Talk 940” WCIT Lima

Non-radio properties included:

The FMs are Class As, while the AM has 250 watts daytime/6 watts at night (and no translator). The terms – Woof Boom pays Childers Media Group $2 million cash, and signs a $425,000 four-year seller note. Chapman-run Woof Boom is based in Muncie.
