(9-11-17) In an email reply to an Outlook email request, the Indiana State Police gave us an update on the investigation of Portland (Indiana) Mayor Randy Geesaman and the Jay County Democratic Committee that started in July of this year.

The investigation you are inquiring about is still on-going and as such, no updates are available for release. When the investigation comes to a conclusion, its findings will be submitted to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office of venue for review. If and when charges are levied and an arrest is made, an update to the case will be made at that time via press release.
