(8-5-17) The Ohio State Highway Patrol (Wapakoneta Post) is investigating a fatal crash that happened around 1 pm this afternoon.

Bethany Reinhart, a 24-year-old woman from Antwerp, Ohio who was driving a brown Sable, was killed  in a crash involving a semitrailer near Wapakoneta. The accident took place on U.S. 33 West just under the overpass at I-75, Reinhart would fail to yield and collided with the semitrailer.

According to the patrol both of the drivers were wearing their seat belts.

The semi driver, 70-year-old Charles Ball of Columbus, was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

No apparent signs of drug or alcohol were found, the crash remains under investigation.
