The following appeared on the City of Celina Facebook page:
At just before 6 PM this evening, Dayton Power & Light were concluding all-day equipment testing in their substation here in Celina. Unfortunately, when DP&L personnel were removing their testing equipment, it resulted in a power outage for Celina Municipal Electric customers since they are the sole transmission entity for the City. The power outage lasted approximately 30 minutes. Celina has been working with DP&L to resolve power failure issues and are continuing to seek long-term reliability.
It is the second time this week that a wide-range outage occurred. Very early Tuesday (August 1st) outages affected customers in Celina, Rockford, Mendon and Wilshire and lasted for about almost 2 hours.
