Heather and Patrick O’Donnell – 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know
(7-16-17) Residents in Logan County are reeling from the recent arrest of two area school superintendents.
Patrick O’Donnell (52), superintendent of the Indian Lake Local Schools in Lewistown, was indicted on Friday of rape, sexual battery and gross sexual imposition charges with a 13 year old girl. His wife Heather O’Donnell (46), superintendent of Midwest Regional Education Services Center in Bellefontaine, is charged with child endangering.
The incidents happened at private location away from Indian Lake schools and did not involve a district student and took place between 2013 and 2016.
On Friday both of the O’Donnells, who were represented by Attorney Sam Shamansky, each entered a not guilty pleas to the charges and both are out of jail on separate bonds.
Patrick has been suspended without pay as the Indian Lake BOE moves to terminate him from his current position as Superintendent, Heather is suspended from her job as superintendent of the MRESC.
Both school’s web sites have not been available since the news broke to the media and has become a national story.
