Logan County Semi – Car Injury Crash

Marysville โ€“ October 10, at approximately 3:40 a.m., troopers from the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle serious injury crash. 

The crash occurred on US 33 near Mile Post 7 in McArthur Township, Logan County. The preliminary investigation revealed a 2004 Pontiac Vibe, operated by Alec C. Cooper, (28)Lakeview, was traveling northwest on US 33. A 2022 Cascadia Freightliner, operated by Aaron A. Fisher (61) Wapakoneta, was traveling southeast on US 33. The Pontiac travelled left of center and struck the Freightliner head -on. After the impact, the Pontiac struck the guardrail and came to rest. The Freightliner traveled off the left side of the roadway and came to rest in the ditch.

Cooper was taken to Miami Valley Hospital with life threatening injuries by air ambulance and Fisher was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital by ground ambulance for possible injuries.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in this crash currently. 

The Patrol was assisted by the Logan County Sheriffโ€™s Office, Indian Lake Fire EMS, Indian Joint Fire, Med Flight, Shaferโ€™s Garage and Towing, 24/7 Towing and Kevinโ€™s Towing.

The crash remains under investigation by the Marysville Highway Patrol Post.
