(9-22-26) The Celina Police Department introduced their newest addition to the department.
Ptl. Zac Nelson and Digo recently completed the Basic Police K9 Handler Course at Von der haus Gill K9 Academy. Digo is just over a year old and came from Germany.
K9 Digo is a dual-purpose dog, trained in patrol work and narcotics. They will continue to train with other area agencies.
Having a police dog is a 24/7 commitment. Celina Police are proud that Officer Nelson who on the responsibility and know how he and his new partner will serve our community to make it safer for everyone.
