(9-1-26) Paulding County, OH – At 10:30 P.M. on Monday August 31, 2026, Paulding County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to 19915 Road 72 for a male that was shot.

Deputies found Logan D. Moss (34) from Mark Center, Ohio in the driveway suffering from a gunshot wound. Deputies rendered aid to Moss until Grover Hill EMS arrived on scene and took over medical care. Moss was transported to Ohio Health in Van Wert, Ohio where he was pronounced dead.

The home owner, Alfred B. Conner (72) was taken into custody for shooting Moss. Conner was transported to a local hospital to be medically assessed before incarceration. He will be charged initially with one count of Murder, an unclassified Felony. The case will soon be handed over to the Prosecuting Attorney for further review.

Assisting the Sheriff’s Office at the scene was the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Grover Hill EMS, Scott EMS and Paulding County Prosecutor Matthew A. Miller.
