PRESS RELEASE
On Saturday, August 29, 2026, at approximately 6:35pm, Darke County Deputies along with Greenville Fire, Greenville TWP Rescue, Ohio State Highway Patrol Motor Carrier Enforcement, and Careflight responded to the intersection of US 127 and Children’s Home Bradford Rd., Greenville, Darke County, OH reference a traffic crash with injury.

Investigation revealed a Gray, 2005 Nissan Frontier pulling a homemade trailer, operated by James Henry (59) of Versailles, OH, was at a posted stop sign on Children’s Home Bradford Rd. Henry proceeded to travel Eastbound, traveling into the pathway of a Northbound, Gray, 2024 Freightliner Cascadia Semi Truck pulling an empty 2022 Utility Trailer. The Semi truck was operated by Adeyinka Adeleye (44) of Palmetto, FL. The Semi struck Henry’s vehicle in its passenger side, causing Henry’s vehicle to spin off the roadway to the northeast corner of the intersection before coming to rest. Henry refused treatment on scene and Adeyinka was not injured.
Henry’s front seat, female juvenile passenger was transported to Wayne Hospital by Greenville TWP to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. Henry’s back seat, female juvenile passenger was flown by Careflight to Miami Valley Hospital before being transported to Dayton Children’s Hospital where she remains in serious, but stable condition.
This case remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
