PRESS RELEASE

On August 9, 2026 at 9:49 p.m., Darke County Deputies, along with Gettysburg Fire and Gettysburg Rescue and CareFlight were dispatched to the 7000 block of US 36, in reference to an injury crash involving a motorcycle.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Keegan Wortley (20) of Lebanon, Indiana was traveling eastbound on US 36, when Wortley failed to negotiate a curve. Wortley and his motorcycle traveled off the roadway causing Wortley to be ejected from his motorcycle. Wortley was transported to Miami Valley Hospital for his injures by CareFlight. The extent of his injuries are unknown at this time.

This incident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
