Greenville, Ohio (8-9-26) — Greenville Public Library will welcome local historian and author Caitlyn Clark on Tuesday, September 22 at 1 p.m. for a fascinating look at the life and legacy of Nathan Hale, an American Revolutionary War spy.
Hale is remembered for his service as a spy for the Continental Army during the American Revolution and for the famous words attributed to him as he faced execution after being captured by British forces. But the story of Nathan Hale goes beyond the few words for which he is best known.
During her presentation, Clark will explore Hale’s life, his decision to serve the revolutionary cause, his role as a spy, and the events surrounding his capture and execution. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the man behind one of the most enduring stories of the American Revolution.
Clark brings extensive experience in the field of local history and museum administration to her presentations. She currently serves as Executive Director of the Mercer County Historical Society and as Administrative Director of the Darke County Historical Society. Her professional experience, combined with her passion for history, allows her to bring historical people and events to life for audiences throughout the region.
History enthusiasts and anyone interested in learning more about the American Revolution are invited to attend this special program.
