A Weather Impact Alert Day has been issued for Thursday as an increasingly dense area of wildfire smoke moves into northwest Ohio. 

In addition to creating a hazy sky, the smoke may lead to reduced air quality and potential health impacts for some residents.

The smoke is moving south from Canada and has shown strong signs of reaching ground level, increasing the likelihood that people across the region may notice both hazy conditions and poorer air quality on Thursday.
