Rockford, Ohio — The Van Wert Area Community Concert Band will present a free outdoor performance on Friday, June 12, 2026, at the Large Shelter House in Rockford Park. This special event is part of the nationwide celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary, honoring the nation’s rich musical heritage and paying tribute to the men and women who serve in the United States Armed Forces.

The evening’s theme, “A Salute to America’s Finest,” will feature a selection of patriotic and Americana pieces that highlight the spirit, resilience, and history of the United States. The program includes music honoring both current military personnel and veterans, offering the community an opportunity to gather in gratitude and celebration.

Families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and enjoy a relaxed summer evening of live music. An ice cream truck will be on-site with treats available for purchase.

This concert is our way of bringing the community together to celebrate a historic milestone and honor those who have dedicated their lives to protecting our freedoms, we look forward to sharing an uplifting night of music with everyone.
