WAPAKONETA, OH — May 13, 2026 — The Auglaize County Board of Elections (BOE) will conduct its mandated post-election audit for the May Primary Election. This essential post-election procedure ensures all electronic voting and tabulating equipment is accurately programmed and will count votes correctly.

About the Audit
The post-election audit is a 100% transparent process required by Ohio law to confirm the reliability of all election equipment. Bipartisan teams will hand-count voter-verified paper audit trails to compare against the official electronic count.
The following three precincts were randomly selected by a bipartisan team for this specific audit: Cridersville-West, Waynesfield, and Wayne Township.
The audit will review the following primary races:
- Ohio Gubernatorial (Republican)
- Ohio Attorney General (Democratic)
- Domestic Relations, Juvenile and Probate Divisions of the Auglaize County Common Pleas Court (Republican)
“The audit is a crucial step in maintaining the integrity of our elections,” said Mark Huber, Auglaize County Board of Elections Director. “We invite the public, candidates, and media to witness firsthand that our equipment is accurate and secure.”
The Auglaize County BOE is responsible for administering all federal, state, and local elections, ensuring every eligible citizen has the opportunity to vote and that all votes are counted accurately and securely.
