Abducted North Carolina 15 Year Old Located In Lima, Abductor Being Held

(11-5-25) According to the Mitchell County (North Carolina) Sheriff’s Office, Christopher Eugene Biederman (32) has been arrested by authorities in Allen County, Ohio. 

The sheriff’s office said Biederman was wanted in Mitchell County on charges of abduction of a child. The sheriff’s office said he was also wanted in Lima, Ohio on similar charges.

On Sunday, authorities issued an Amber Alert for 15-year-old Neveah Hope Patton, who had last been seen in Bakersville, NC on Saturday. 

In a post on social media, the sheriff’s office said search teams using dogs determined Patton must have been picked up in a vehicle.

With assistance from the North Carolina SBI and the FBI, the sheriff’s office said it was able to track down Biederman and locate Patton.

The incident remains under investigation by the Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office and Allen County Sheriff’s Office, Lima Police Department and the FBI. 

Biederman is currently being held in the Allen County Detention Center on warrants from Mitchell County and the City of Lima. 

Patton has been returned home safe.
