(8-16-25) On Friday, August 15, 2025, at approximately 7:09pm, Darke County Sheriff Deputies, along with Ansonia Fire and Rescue responded to the intersection of State Routh 118 and Beamsville-Union City Road regarding a vehicle crash with injury.

Investigation revealed a 2018 Cadillac ATS, driven by Patsy Clark, 77, of Ansonia, was at a posted stop sign on Beamsville-Union City Road before traveling into the pathway of a southbound, 2024 Toyota Camry, driven by Daniel Wigger Jr, 37, of Ansonia. The collision caused Wigger to strike Clark’s vehicle on the rear passenger side, causing both vehicles to go off the roadway. Clark’s vehicle then struck a pole before coming to rest. Both Wigger and Clark refused medical treatment on scene after both were suspected of having minor injuries. Clark was issued a citation for Failure to Yield.
