(7-17-25) Three independent candidates have been certified for the General Elections.

Kristi Rable – Director, Mercer County Board of Elections

At the July 15th meeting, the board certified 3 Independent candidates petitions: Kyle Bruce for Celina City Council, Ward 4; Tyler Foulkes for Celina City Treasurer; and Deb Sneddon for Celina City Treasurer.  The Board plans to meet again on August 18th to certify General Election petitions.  Those petitions final filling date is August 6th by 4pm.

Ward 4 for Celina City Council will now have have two candidates vying for the position with the addition of Kyle Bruce facing off with Eric Clausen. In 2023 Bruce ran for a council at large seat as a Democrat.

  • Ward 1, Democrat Bill Sell and Republican Steve Schulte
  • Ward 2, Republican Jeremy Uhlenhake
  • Ward 3, Republican Chris Dosek and Democrat Erica Lusk
  • Ward 4, Republican Eric Clausen and Independent Kyle Bruce
  • Celina City Council President, Republican incumbent Jason King and Democrat Sophia Rodriguez.

Although both treasurer candidates will be listed as independents, they both have local party ties.

Deb Sneddon, who has been active in the past in the Mercer County Democrat Party, recently retired from her position as Mercer County Board of Elections Director.

Foulkes was appointed by the Republican Party this past June as the Celina City Treasurer. He is listed as a Mathematics Teacher at Celina High School.
