(12-19-24) Sammy Huston (30) of Celina has been charged with a 5th degree felony count of practicing medicine without a license.
Acting as a physician without a license is illegal in all 50 states. It can result in serious criminal and civil penalties. Criminal penalties can include steep fines, as well as up to five years in prison. A patient harmed by the unlicensed physician can also sue for civil damages. A warrant was issued for Huston after a complaint was filed by the Minster Police Department with the Auglaize County Municipal Court.
Huston is due in court for a bond hearing on Friday December 20th at 9:15 and for a preliminary hearing on Thursday December 26th at 10 am in the Auglaize County Municipal Court.
He is being held in the Auglaize County Jail on $250,000 (10%) bond.
